Cryptocurrencies traded low this morning, with the Bitcoin, Ethereum, meme coins and metaverse tokens constantly falling.

By Nidhi Bhardwaj: Crypto currencies continued to fall early on 16 December. The global crypto market cap decreased by 1.30 percent to $849.97B. The last 24 hours also noticed a loss in the total crypto market volume by 26.98 percent to $33.63B. Bitcoin persists to decrease by 1.67 percent to $17,413.90 but remained above the $17,000 mark.
Ethereum’s value went down by 1.60 percent to trade at $1,271.27, as compared to yesterday’s value of $1,292.19. The value of other currencies like BNB traded low at $261.75, noticed a 1.23 percent decline, and XRP, at $0.376833, observed a 1.30 percent fall. As of (1000 IST) the price of Solana slipped 2.30 percent to trade at $13.98, and Cardano is down by 1.42 percent to $0.299837.
According to CoinMarketCap, today’s top gainers include Celo, Decred, Chilliz, and Neo, with current growth rates of 8.45 percent, 6.01 percent, 5.64 percent, and 3.60 percent, respectively. On the other hand, Neutrino, Toncoin, Chain, and IOTA were among the top losers.
Meme coins continue to remain low
Like top cryptocurrencies, meme coins suffered. The value of Dogecoin and Shiba Inu sank by 1.64 percent to $0.086211 and 1.15 percent to $7.09e-7 respectively. The price of Dogelon Mars is down by 9.22 percent to $3.09e-7. On the other hand, Meme Coin remained up by 5.37 percent to $0.025772 in the last 24 hours.
Metaverse token down
The metaverse tokens traded low today. The price of Axie Infinity was down by 0.88 percent to $7.57 and Decentraland decreased by 0.21 percent to $0.376678. Sandbox is low at 1.68 percent to $0.540100.
