Lancaster city’s Reservoir Park was filled with back-to-school excitement Friday afternoon during a school supply drive and musical event, a partnership between arts collective the Ripple Effect and Lancaster nonprofit Music for Everyone.
Local musicians Worldwide Wednesday, Laddie Moran, Pinexpple, Mr. Ellis The Teacher, Sir Dominique Jordan and others performed in the park, where attendees were encouraged to bring backpacks and school supplies for local students.
Visitors could also donate bikes and bike supplies at the event, held outside of the Common Wheel’s Reservoir Park location. Free haircuts and a mobile skatepark were also among the offerings.
The Ripple Effect is a collective of multidisciplinary artists who host community-minded arts events. Music for Everyone is a Lancaster-based nonprofit dedicated to cultivating the power of music.
