Most\u00a0candidates use fundraising platforms\u00a0\u2014 like the Republican WinRed and Democratic ActBlue\u00a0\u2014 which do not currently\u00a0support such contributions.<\/p>\n<aside aria-label=\"advertisement\" class=\"gnt_m gnt_x gnt_x__lbl gnt_x__al\" \/>\n<p class=\"gnt_ar_b_p\">The opinion\u00a0notes that campaigns cannot spend cryptocurrency directly.\u00a0That&#8217;s because all campaign expenditures must come from money deposited into an Iowa financial institution, Greenberg told the board.<\/p>\n<p class=\"gnt_ar_b_p\"><em>Daniel Lathrop is a staff writer on the Register&#8217;s investigative team.
