Christel Yardley\/Stuff<\/cite><\/p>\n Testing was steady on Sunday at the Covid testing station on Greenwood Street in Hamilton.<\/p>\n<\/figcaption><\/div>\n The ripples of the Soundsplash Covid-19 outbreak are spreading through the Waikato, with further cases and a cafe and fastfood outlet among a growing list of locations of interest announced over the weekend.<\/p>\n There were 12 new cases announced in the region on Sunday, with 10 linked to previous cases and two under investigation.<\/p>\n Seven cases were reported for Hamilton, two in Paeroa, one in Waihi, and two at locations not yet confirmed. There were 103 cases reported across the country.<\/p>\n READ MORE: Forty people were isolating at home.<\/p>\n Among the new locations of interest was Chartwell McDonald\u2019s between 1.05pm and 1.35pm on Monday January 24, Alfies Cafe on North City Rd in Rototuna between 12.39pm and 1.09pm on Thursday January 20. People who visited at the time were advised to monitor for symptoms.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Meanwhile Health officials expected a rise in cases from last weekend\u2019s music festival at Mystery Creek, from which omicron cases have already been reported.<\/p>\n \u201dWe are expecting the number of cases connected to the Soundsplash music festival in Hamilton last weekend to grow over the coming days as further test results are received. The Ministry of Health is continuing to advise all attendees to get a test, if they have not already done so.<\/p>\n There were 103 new community cases reported across the country on Sunday, with a woman in her 70s with underlying health conditions dying in Northshore hospital.<\/p>\n There were 1620 tests processed in Waikato yesterday.<\/p>\n <\/div>\n
