{"id":44588,"date":"2023-02-21T08:37:30","date_gmt":"2023-02-21T08:37:30","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/egrowonline.com\/?p=44588"},"modified":"2023-02-21T08:37:30","modified_gmt":"2023-02-21T08:37:30","slug":"ordinals-litecoin-fork-took-one-week-and-was-quite-simple-says-creator","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/egrowonline.com\/?p=44588","title":{"rendered":"Ordinals Litecoin fork took one week and was \u2018quite simple,\u2019 says creator"},"content":{"rendered":"<p> <br \/>\n<br \/><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/images.cointelegraph.com\/images\/840_aHR0cHM6Ly9zMy5jb2ludGVsZWdyYXBoLmNvbS91cGxvYWRzLzIwMjMtMDIvMzlmNzU3YWMtODM5Zi00MmQyLTk4NTUtZWI5N2IxY2YyZmNkLmpwZw==.jpg\" \/><\/p>\n<div data-v-48054ca8=\"\">\n<p>A small monetary bounty and an aptitude for coding were all it took to fork the Ordinals protocol to the world\u2019s second-ever cryptocurrency network, Litecoin (<a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/cointelegraph.com\/ltc-price-index\" rel=\"noopener\">LTC<\/a>), earlier this week, its creator told Cointelegraph.<\/p>\n<p>On Feb. 18, an Australian software engineer by the name of\u00a0Anthony Guerrera posted a <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/github.com\/ynohtna92\/ord-litecoin\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">repository<\/a> to GitHub that forked the Bitcoin (<a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/cointelegraph.com\/bitcoin-price\" rel=\"noopener\">BTC<\/a>) <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/cointelegraph.com\/news\/ordinals-protocol-sparks-debate-over-nft-s-place-in-the-bitcoin-ecosystem\" rel=\"noopener\"><a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/cointelegraph.com\/news\/ordinals-protocol-sparks-debate-over-nft-s-place-in-the-bitcoin-ecosystem\" rel=\"noopener\">Ordinals protocol to<\/a> Litecoin.
