The price of Bitcoin (BTC)<\/a>\u00a0has reached a new 2023 high of $25,000.\u00a0The milestone comes after a surge in Bitcoin’s price over much of January. <\/p>\n The last time Bitcoin\u2019s price was around $25,000 was near mid-June 2022 on its way down to between $19,000 and $21,000, where it had hovered for several months,\u00a0according<\/a> to data from CoinGecko. <\/p>\n The price of BTC however took a big dip in November following the FTX crisis,<\/a> which saw it drop to a 2022 low of $15,742 on Nov. 10. 2022.<\/p>\n The price began to surge in early January, when the price of BTC increased over 14 consecutive days<\/a> between Jan. 4-17. <\/p>\n That daily green candle streak was its second longest in the cryptocurrency\u2019s 14-year history \u2014 having fallen one day short of its 15-day record in November 2013.<\/p>\n Related: <\/em><\/strong>Bitcoin price correction was overdue \u2014 analysts outline why the end of 2023 will be bullish <\/em><\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n While BTC has had an impressive start to 2023, it is still down 63% from its all time-high (ATH) of $69,044, which was reached on Nov. 10, 2021. <\/p>\n Some economists such as Lyn Alden however believe that BTC\u2019s current price surge may be relatively short-lived.<\/a> The Bitcoin bull believes actions from the U.S. Federal Reserve will likely impose \u201cconsiderable danger ahead\u201d for BTC in the second half of 2023.<\/p>\n Meanwhile, Galaxy Digital Holdings CEO Mike Novogratz is more bullish over the short term.<\/p>\n Speaking at a Bank of America conference on Feb. 15, Novogratz reportedly said there\u2019s a chance BTC could hit $30,000 by the end of March. <\/a><\/p>\n<\/div>\n![](\"https:\/\/s3.cointelegraph.com\/uploads\/2023-02\/0bd0d757-baba-4d21-84f2-a246a5b4e26a.jpg\")
