Despite a promising attempt at a comeback, the developer activity on the network was lagging.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Data from Santiment <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/ali_charts\/status\/1607494462174814208\" rel=\"noopener\" data-wpel-link=\"external\">shows<\/a> that the development activity first gained traction in early September before skyrocketing in October.<\/li>\n<li>The figures went downhill shortly thereafter \u2013 from 2.26 to 0.12 in a span of two months.<\/li>\n<li>In contrast, Messari <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/litecoin\/status\/1607541907550265345\" rel=\"noopener\" data-wpel-link=\"external\">ranked<\/a> Litecoin as the second most active chain in estimated on-chain transaction volume over the past 24 hours.<\/li>\n<li>With $2.88 billion in transaction volume, Litecoin is trailing just behind Bitcoin. The volume for the latter stood at a whopping $3.98 billion.<\/li>\n<li>The two crypto-assets were <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/messari.io\/screener\/chains-activity-E3EE9AE5\" rel=\"noopener\" data-wpel-link=\"external\">followed<\/a> by other prominent networks, such as Cardano, Ethereum, and XRP, with $1.96 billion, $1.04 billion, and $440 million, respectively.<\/li>\n<li>Another bullish note is the average Litecoin balance currently held on Mimblewimble Extension Blocks (MWEB), which has <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/LTCFoundation\/status\/1607424318866337792?\" rel=\"noopener\" data-wpel-link=\"external\">increased<\/a> to 58,000 LTC, or the equivalent of over $4 million.<\/li>\n<li>Moreover, Litecoin has <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/coinatmradar.com\/charts\/cryptocurrency-share\/\" rel=\"noopener\" data-wpel-link=\"external\">captured<\/a> the second spot on the list of the most supported ATM cryptocurrency leaving behind altcoin leader Ethereum.<\/li>\n<li>BitPay\u2019s recent report further <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/bitpay.com\/blog\/litecoin-payments-on-the-rise\/\" rel=\"noopener\" data-wpel-link=\"external\">highlighted<\/a> the emergence of Litecoin as a preferred payment method across the globe.
