Helium [HNT]<\/a> clinched the number one spot on the ranking of altcoins that outperformed Bitcoin [BTC] on 22 December, data from LunarCrush<\/a> showed.<\/span><\/p>\n
The cryptocurrency social analytics platform has an AltRank feature through which it tracks the social and market activity of 4,051 coins and how they outperform leading coin BTC.<\/span><\/p>\n

Despite the growth in social activity, HNT has not seen any rally in price in the last month. Per <\/span>CoinMarketCap<\/span><\/a>, HNT\u2019s value has dropped by 24% in the last 30 days. In fact, in the last 24 hours, HNT\u2019s price dropped by 11% to cement its position as the cryptocurrency with the most decline in the last 24 hours. <\/span><\/p>\n
With severe volatile price action, an assessment of HNT\u2019s Open Interest revealed that the alt had been trailed mostly by a bearish conviction.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
According to data from Coinglass<\/a>, HNT\u2019s Open Interest fell sharply by 86% between 29 September and 21 December. Within this period, the alt\u2019s price fell by 64%.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
