LAS VEGAS<\/span>, Jan. 3, 2022<\/span> \/PRNewswire\/ — VinFast today announced it will commence a reservation program for its first two EV models \u2013 VF e35 and VF e36 \u2013 beginning on January 5<\/span> at CES 2022. VinFast will apply blockchain technologies in the process to certify reservations, payments, and eventually vehicle ownership. VinFast’s application of blockchain makes it one of the world’s first automakers to put this advanced technology into use.<\/b><\/i><\/p>\n

VINFAST ANNOUNCES COMMENCEMENT OF VF e35 & VF e36 RESERVATION<\/figcaption><\/p>\n<\/figure>\n

The reservation portal will open simultaneously for both US and Vietnamese markets at 5:00 PM<\/span> January 5<\/span> PST (8:00 AM<\/span> January 6<\/span> Hanoi time) during the VinFast Global EV Day event within CES 2022, and close on April 5, 2022<\/span>. During this period, customers that make reservations will automatically join an exclusive membership program: VinFirst \u2013 ‘Pioneer’s Gratitude to Pioneers’<\/b>.<\/b><\/p>\n

In Vietnam<\/span>, the reservation fee for each VF e35 will be 15 million VND<\/span> (~656 USD), in return for a 150 million VND<\/span> (~6,565 USD) credit towards the purchase price. Customers paying 20 million VND<\/span> (~875 USD) to reserve a VF e36 will get 250 million VND<\/span> (~10,938) in discount.<\/p>\n

In the US, VinFast customers who deposit 200 USD<\/span> to make a reservation will receive e-vouchers of 3,000 USD<\/span> for the VF e35 and of 5,000 USD<\/span> for the VF e36. With VinFast’s application of blockchain technology, customers booking VinFast EV reservations will get a VinFirst NFT<\/i> (non-fungible token) certifying their membership as a pioneer in VinFirst. VinFirst member benefits will be transferred directly to their blockchain wallet based on their VinFirst NFT, enabling customers to verify their benefits easily and transparently, and open future benefits and services as a pioneer member.<\/p>\n

The reservation fees are refundable for both markets.<\/p>\n

VinFast will first apply blockchain in the reservation process in the US and is looking at the possibilities of using this technology in other markets in the near future.<\/p>\n
