The whole FTX debacle<\/a> put Sam Bankman-Fried<\/a>, the platform\u2019s former CEO in a negative light. With the entire ecosystem frowning upon him, SBF still decided to appear in an interview. In the interview, SBF is seen trying to defend himself by suggesting that he \u201cdidn\u2019t try to commit fraud.\u201d While most of them continued to call out the FTX founder, a few of them were seen extending support. <\/p>\n

As mentioned earlier, SBF apologized and revealed that he had only $100K left in his bank account with only one credit card in function. American billionaire Bill Ackman took to Twitter and suggested that FTX\u2019s former CEO could be telling the truth. <\/p>\n

Ackman wasn\u2019t the only one who still entailed hope on SBF. Shark Tank\u2019s host Kevin O\u2019Leary backed Ackman as he tweeted, <\/p>\n

\u201cI lost millions as an investor in @FTX and got sandblasted as a paid spokesperson for the firm but after listening to that interview I\u2019m in the @billAckman camp about the kid!\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n

This did not sit well with the community. Both O\u2019Leary, as well as Ackman, were called out for their tweets. The community pointed out how individuals should review their positions if they had funded with Ackman. One Twitter user said<\/a>, <\/p>\n

\u201cMan doesn\u2019t make the difference betwen fraud, an exchange, fractional reserves,<\/strong> and a hedgefund.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n

Another individual who was visibly enraged by this was Dogecoin\u2019s Billy Markus. Markus tweeted, <\/p>\n

i might accidentally lose the money buying a mansion or something but otherwise it\u2019s totally safe<\/p>\n

Cardano founder also reacts to O\u2019Leary\u2019s tweet backing SBF<\/h3>\n

Similar to Dogecoin\u2019s Markus, Cardano\u2019s Charles Hoskinson suggested that the latest ordeal with SBF was right out of a Quantum Leap episode. <\/p>\n

This wasn\u2019t the first time that the Shark Tank host was seen supporting SBF. Right after the infamous collapse of FTX, O\u2019Leary revealed that he would pour money into SBF\u2019s future ventures. Elaborating on the possibility of the same he added<\/a>, <\/p>\n

\u201cIf I could put him on my team in a very straight vertical where he doesn\u2019t have the ability to move assets around but has the ability to trade them, yeah I would.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n

While the community pointed out how \u201cSam committed one of the largest frauds in history,\u201d O\u2019Leary continued to feel pity for SBF. <\/p>\n<\/div>\n
