The cryptocurrency\u2019s price has been surging over the last few days.<\/p>\n<p>In a new video shared with his over 440,000 subscribers on the Google-owned video-sharing platform YouTube, pseudonymous analyst DonAlt noted that $LTC could surge to around $160 to $200, or even surpass its previous all-time high around the $400 mark. In the video, the analyst said:<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote\">\n<p>I\u2019m looking for somewhere\u2026 between $160 to $200. Around $300, $400 would be interesting to me. I could see this making the all-time high. It didn\u2019t really do too much during the bull market. And it has the chart set up to make that happen.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>The analyst predicted that $LTC will likely outperform other altcoins in the near future, moving up higher when altcoin prices move up, and seeing a lower downside when altcoin prices move down. Per his words, Litecoin is now a \u201cgood trade n general\u201d with \u201cquite the big upside.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Litecoin was created back in 2011 as a fork of Bitcoin, and features near-zero cost peer-to-peer transactions. It differs from the flagship cryptocurrency in a number of ways, however, with reduced transaction confirmation times, lower fees, a larger maximum supply of 84 million LTC, and other different technical aspects.<\/p>\n<p>The cryptocurrency was created by former Google engineer Charlie Lee, who referred to it as a \u201clite version of Bitcoin\u201d at one point. It has been outperforming the wider cryptocurrency market in the wake of FTX\u2019s collapse, which has seen several platforms, including Genesis and BlockFi, halt withdrawals.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed-youtube wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\">\n<div class=\"jeg_video_container jeg_video_content\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"LTC Moon - Target Sir?\" width=\"500\" height=\"281\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/c7TZQsZ2UME?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/div>\n<\/figure>\n<p>            <!-- Inline ads (all screen sizes) --><br \/>\n            <!-- Primis --><\/p>\n<p>            <!-- Inline ads (xs-lg screens) --><br \/>\n            &lt;!&#8211;<\/p>\n<div class=\"d-xl-none\">\n<div class=\"g-pt-30 g-pb-30 text-center\">\n                    Not in use\n                <\/div><\/div>\n<p>            &#8211;&gt;<\/p>\n<p>            <!-- Inline ads (xl screens) --><br \/>\n            &lt;!&#8211;<\/p>\n<div class=\"d-none d-xl-block\">\n<div class=\"g-pt-30 g-pb-30 text-center\">\n                    Not in use\n                <\/div><\/div>\n<p>            &#8211;&gt;<\/p>\n<p>As CryptoGlboe reported, popular analysts have weighed in on Litecoin\u2019s recent price surge and have said that the cryptocurrency is set to undergo a massive breakout after a \u201clarge accumulation\u201d period that preceded its upcoming halving event.<\/p>\n<p>Pseudonymous crypto analyst Kaleo told their over 500,000 followers that $LTC\u2019s recent surge appears to be the \u201creal deal\u201d as it\u2019s \u201clong overdue for a solid pump.\u201d Per Kaleo, Litecoin has long periods in which it slowly moves down, followed by quick pumps.<\/p>\n<p>Much like BTC, Litecoin undergoes halving events, in which the coinbase reward for miners who find blocks on the network is halved. Litecoin\u2019s next halving event is expected to occur in August 2023, and will reduce mining rewards from 12.5 LTC to 6.25 LTC. Halving events are seen as bullish, as new supply on the market is halved through them.<\/p>\n<p>At the time of writing, $LTC is trading at $79 per token, up from around $50 seen weeks ago.
