Bitcoin (BTC<\/a>) is on track to hit a massive $2 million within six years, asset management guru Lawrence \u201cLarry\u201d Lepard believes.<\/p>\n In his latest appearance on the Quoth the Raven podcast Oct. 16, Lepard said that BTC\/USD could \u201ceasily\u201d deliver<\/a> 100X returns from current prices.<\/p>\n With Bitcoin in a downtrend for almost a year, bullish BTC price predictions are few and far between.<\/p>\n Lepard, already known for his optimism on both Bitcoin and precious metals, has become one of the lone voices forecasting a seven-figure BTC price tag in the current environment.<\/p>\n In his podcast appearance, the Equity Management Associates founder revealed that he is still dollar-cost averaging into BTC \u2014 buying a fixed amount every week, regardless of the price.<\/p>\n He also views it as a \u201crisk\u201d not to own BTC as a hedge in what he calls a \u201csovereign debt crisis.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cI\u2019m not suggesting anyone should take all of their money and dump it into these things, but what I am suggesting very strongly is that anyone who doesn\u2019t have some position in these things is taking more risk than they need to take because of the upside optionality,\u201d he explained:<\/p>\n \u201cBitcoin could go to zero but I personally believe Bitcoin\u2019s going to go up 100X.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n Asked whether he, therefore, agreed that a single Bitcoin could end up being worth $2 million \u2014 one hundred times more than the current spot price \u2014 Lepard did not hesitate.<\/p>\n \u201cYeah, easily, easily,\u201d he replied, setting the timeframe for the gains to materialize as five or six years. <\/p>\n Lepard added that the next macro top for BTC\/USD should be up to $200,000, followed by another 70% drawdown.<\/p>\n That prediction is roughly in line with another price basis<\/a> emerging in recent days, putting the next cycle\u2019s bear market bottom at $35,000.<\/p>\n BTC\/USD traded at around $19,600 at the time of writing, data from Cointelegraph Markets Pro<\/a> and TradingView<\/a> showed, having hit one-week highs on the day<\/p>\n Lofty perspectives on BTC price performance are historically nothing new to the space, but few have ended up coming true.<\/p>\n Related:\u00a0\u2018Get ready\u2019 for BTC volatility \u2014 5 things to know in Bitcoin this week<\/a><\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n Among those yet to be vindicated are serial investor Tim Draper, who even recently remained confident about Bitcoin reaching $250,000 in 2022<\/a> or early 2023.<\/p>\n In April, Cathie Wood, CEO of\u00a0ARK Investment Management, doubled down on a $1 million BTC target<\/a>.<\/p>\n Prior to that, meanwhile, Tom Lee, co-founder of Fundstrat Global Advisors, maintained<\/a> the firm\u2019s $200,000 BTC price target despite the bear market already knocking.\u00a0<\/p>\nLepard: \u201cI personally believe Bitcoin\u2019s going to go up 100X\u201d<\/h2>\n
