The world\u2019s leading cloud computing service Google Cloud<\/a> and Coinbase<\/a> on Tuesday announced a strategic partnership to serve the growing Web3<\/a> ecosystem. As part of the collaboration, Google Cloud is positioned to enable customers \u2013 in the Web3 ecosystem<\/a> \u2013 to pay for its cloud services via select cryptocurrencies.\u00a0<\/p>\n

According to a press release<\/a>, Coinbase will use Google Cloud\u2019s powerful compute platform to process blockchain data at scale, enhancing the global reach of its crypto services. Moreover, Coinbase will build its global data platform on Google Cloud\u2019s secure infrastructure to leverage data and analytics technologies to provide customers with ML-driven crypto insights.<\/p>\n

Google Cloud CEO Thomas Kurian<\/a> says, \u201cWe want to make building in Web3 faster and easier, and this partnership with Coinbase helps developers get one step closer to that goal.\u201d Vice President Amit Zavery<\/a> informed that the strategic partnership with Coinbase will be through their platform \u2018Coinbase commerce\u2019, giving access only to selected customers. At present, the platform only accepts ten cryptocurrency payments which includes: Ethereum, Bitcoin, Litecoin, Bitcoin Cash, among others.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cWe are excited that Google Cloud has selected Coinbase to help bring Web3 to a new set of users and provide powerful solutions to developers.With more than 100 million verified users and 14,500 institutional clients, Coinbase has spent more than a decade building industry-leading products on top of blockchain technology,\u201d said Coinbase CEO Brian Armstrong<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Moreover, the partnership allows Web3 developers to access Google\u2019s BigQuery crypto public datasets, powered by Coinbase Cloud Nodes, across leading blockchains. The integration allows developers to reliably operate Web3-based systems without the need for complex and expensive infrastructure.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n
