On the day of the merge, Twitter user hashoveride tweeted: <\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">GPU <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/hashtag\/mining?src=hash&amp;ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\" rel=\"noopener\">#mining<\/a> is dead less than 24 hours after the <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/hashtag\/merge?src=hash&amp;ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\" rel=\"noopener\">#merge<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Here are the three largest <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/hashtag\/GPU?src=hash&amp;ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\" rel=\"noopener\">#GPU<\/a> chains and current daily profitability with a 3090 GPU and 6 us\u00a2\/kwh<a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/hashtag\/ETC?src=hash&amp;ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\" rel=\"noopener\">#ETC<\/a> -7 \u00a2<a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/hashtag\/XMR?src=hash&amp;ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\" rel=\"noopener\">#XMR<\/a> -37 \u00a2<a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/hashtag\/RVN?src=hash&amp;ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\" rel=\"noopener\">#RVN<\/a> 2 \u00a2<\/p>\n<p>The only coins showing profit have no marketcap or liquidity. However, the general consensus revealed that many were still unclear on their next steps. Former miner Christian Ander shared with Cointelegraph:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u201cTo be honest, I don\u2019t know myself yet. Selling GPU power to other computing intense services is far from as profitable as ETH was.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>\u201cI am doing research myself and my partners are looking into options,\u201d Ander added, noting, \u201cGPU owners are doing research and selling power to non-crypto projects.
