A widely followed crypto analyst says the last 12 hours for Bitcoin (BTC<\/a>) mark the beginning of a relief rally.<\/p>\n

Crypto trader Micha\u00ebl van de Poppe\u00a0tells<\/a>\u00a0his 626,100 Twitter followers that altcoins will follow BTC\u2019s volatile market jump.<\/p>\n

\u201cAltcoins will follow, but now Bitcoin takes the spotlight with a volatile move of almost $2,000 in 12 hours.<\/em><\/p>\n

That\u2019s normal.<\/em><\/p>\n

Be patient.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n

Earlier, Van de Poppe\u00a0said<\/a>\u00a0that if BTC can break through $20,000, it could rally up to $25,000.<\/p>\n

\u201cCrucial for Bitcoin is to flip the $20,000 area.<\/em><\/p>\n

If that happens, $23,000-25,000 seems next.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n

With Bitcoin currently going for $21,200, up nearly 10% over the past 24 hours, Van de Poppe sees<\/a> confirmation of his theory that $25,000 could be next.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe markets are following this nicely. Great sweep of the lows, reclaim and strong candles implying strength is back for Bitcoin, as the [US Dollar] index is falling down.<\/em><\/p>\n

In that case, we might continue towards $21,500ish, consolidate and hold above $20,000 and continue towards $23,000-$25,000.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n

As Bitcoin breaks out, the crypto trader\u00a0says<\/a>\u00a0altcoins will follow close behind.<\/p>\n

\u201cBitcoin breaking upwards in a strong manner, as the Dollar loses value over night.\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n

In the meantime, altcoins correcting a bit in their BTC pair, as Bitcoin is taking the spotlight.<\/em><\/p>\n

Altcoins will follow suit.\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n

It\u2019s a good period.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n

Looking at two specific altcoins, Van de Poppe\u00a0directs<\/a>\u00a0his followers towards Chainlink (LINK<\/a>) and Cosmos (ATOM<\/a>).<\/p>\n

\u201cChainlink is looking strong and is still a massive opportunity here, I keep repeating it.<\/em><\/p>\n

ATOM is looking very strong here, while multiple other altcoins are starting to show signs of strength.<\/em><\/p>\n

The coming months will be fun, expecting a ton of volatility.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n

The trader then goes\u00a0deeper<\/a>\u00a0into ATOM, which is up over 20% over the last 24 hours.<\/p>\n

\u201cThat followed the plan nicely for ATOM.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n

Looking at the overall crypto markets (TOTAL), Van de Poppe is\u00a0cautiously<\/a>\u00a0optimistic.<\/p>\n

\u201cUltimately, the total market capitalization is at a crucial point.<\/em><\/p>\n

It might be the bottom, but if it\u2019s not, we\u2019re into some serious trouble so I\u2019d like to bet on the first case.<\/em><\/p>\n
