This week\u2019s guest on the <\/span>Cardano NFT Column <\/b>is a <\/span>multiplayer PvP and PvE isometric battle arena game based on the Cardano blockchain<\/b>: <\/span>Battle Borgz<\/span><\/a>.<\/span><\/p>\n Last week\u2019s guest<\/span><\/a> was a <\/span>project that uses AI (Artificial Intelligence) to generate beautiful NFT artworks.<\/b><\/p>\n This initiative is a point of reference for <\/span>NFTs on Cardano <\/b>and every week or two we will invite someone to answer some questions and give us <\/span>an update directly from within the Cardano community<\/b>.<\/span><\/p>\n Considering that many of our readers are new to the crypto space<\/span>, <\/b>we will have a <\/span>mix of simple and technical questions<\/b>.<\/span><\/p>\n Hi, thanks for the interview. <\/span>We\u2019re Battle Borgz, we\u2019re from all over the place, including the UK, Canada and The Netherlands<\/b>. At our roots we\u2019re<\/span> gamers<\/b>, over time we combined that hobby with an interest in blockchain and in particular, <\/span>Cardano<\/b>.<\/span><\/p>\n Our <\/span>project manager Nick<\/b> has a background in the traditional business world in the events and hospitality industries. Our<\/span> lead developer has experience in game and web development<\/b>, both our community manager and head moderator happen to have a <\/span>military background<\/b>.<\/span><\/p>\n Battle Borgz is a<\/span> multiplayer PvP and PvE isometric battle arena game based on the Cardano blockchain<\/b>. Our players will <\/span>use their NFTs as in-game characters in order to access our ranked mode<\/b>, we\u2019ll also have a <\/span>free to play mode where an NFT isn\u2019t needed<\/b>. The benefits of playing ranked mode is the opportunity to <\/span>win our token, BORGZ<\/b>.\u00a0 Players can enjoy our game whilst earning our token to then <\/span>spend on in-game boosts or to transfer to ADA\/FIAT currency<\/b>.<\/span><\/p>\n Cardano is the ideal blockchain for projects like ours to be developing and operating on<\/b>, due to <\/span>low transaction fees and high levels of security<\/b>. In particular, the low transaction fees are perfect for a battle arena game such as ours. Our fast paced game play means our matches will be over relatively quickly and<\/span> lots of BORGZ transactions<\/b> will be needed to be made at the end of games. Cardano\u2019s low fees also mean players can use their BORGZ to <\/span>purchase certain items in our game at almost no extra cost<\/b>.<\/span><\/p>\n The other main reason for us choosing Cardano is the <\/span>chain\u2019s high level of security<\/b>. We want our users\u2019 wallets and funds to be 100% secure, <\/span>Cardano is the smart decision in this respect<\/b>. We could go on longer here, for many reasons. The last one I\u2019ll mention is that <\/span>our team has been involved with Cardano for a while and we have a shared affection for it<\/b>.<\/span><\/p>\n We\u2019re in phase 2 of our roadmap<\/b>. Milestones <\/span>completed in phase 1 <\/b>include:<\/span><\/p>\n Everything we\u2019ve developed so far is prior to any NFT sales,<\/b> we wanted to be among the few projects who show proven game development prior to any NFT mints. We\u2019re at the stage in our roadmap now where <\/span>our Origins V.1 mint will take place in order for us to continue our development<\/b>.<\/span><\/p>\n Following our NFT mint we\u2019ll move on with <\/span>Phase 2<\/b>, this involves a lot more character and environment development as well as really getting stuck into<\/span> coding the game and developing how our characters interact with each other<\/b>.<\/span><\/p>\n 1 year from now we intend to be <\/span>live with our PvP mode, initial map and game modes<\/b>, and to have fully fledged lore and storylines that involve our players deeply in the Borgz universe. In the time after our initial main-net launch we\u2019ll be working on<\/span> developing our game system, including new maps, game modes, characters\/factions and more<\/b>. We will continuously be monitoring our token cycle within our game economy, we need to analyse this data in order to ensure <\/span>longevity for the game<\/b>.<\/span><\/p>\n Our long-term vision is for Battle Borgz to <\/span>be among the most respected\/well known Cardano and Play to Earn projects<\/b>.
