{"id":23187,"date":"2022-07-18T01:50:37","date_gmt":"2022-07-18T01:50:37","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/egrowonline.com\/?p=23187"},"modified":"2022-07-18T01:50:37","modified_gmt":"2022-07-18T01:50:37","slug":"worldline-casio-team-to-streamline-card-payments","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/egrowonline.com\/?p=23187","title":{"rendered":"Worldline, Casio Team to Streamline Card Payments"},"content":{"rendered":"<p> <br \/>\n<\/p>\n<div id=\"pymnts-content1355256\">\n<p>Payment services company <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/worldline.com\/\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Worldline<\/a> has partnered with <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.casio.com\/us\/watches\/gshock\/product.MRG-B5000B-1\/?gclid=CjwKCAjw5s6WBhA4EiwACGncZfflZqD4N1LWXbk8D2flaFRRiVOukkLGEjNhz7ouE4unYOBXshfMKxoCSr8QAvD_BwE\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Casio<\/a>, a Japanese-based company, to offer card payments and cashless shopping in Japan, a <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/worldline.com\/en\/home\/pressroom\/press-releases\/2022\/pr-2022_07_14_01.html\" rel=\"noopener\">press release<\/a> says.<\/p>\n<p>Offering this service in Japan will hopefully add to efforts to overturn a more conservative retail landscape there.<\/p>\n<p>The press release said this would help out with the company\u2019s currently cumbersome payment acceptance system.<\/p>\n<p>This will also include <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.vesca.co.jp\/english\/\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Vesca<\/a>, a local provider of payment solutions, and will target a mass market of mainly small business merchants in Japan.<\/p>\n<p>The press release notes that in this partnership Vesca is the technical enabler for acceptance in Japan, while Worldline provides transaction processing and leverages the footprint, scale and technology of its facilities.<\/p>\n<p>The release says this arrangement will benefit Japanese merchants, especially smaller companies, and will help out with streamlining card acceptance. It will also help out with the general challenges of the Japanese ecosystem for card payments, which has been fraught with cash-dominated customers and long onboarding processes.<\/p>\n<p>Shigenori Fujii, senior general manager of the System Business Unit at Casio, added: \u201cWorldline is the leading payments solutions provider in Europe, and it only made sense to collaborate with them as we aim to enlarge our offering for checkout payments and cashless services in Japan. Their professionalism and expertise are unparalleled.
