Earlier in the day, Celsius said it had filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy\u00a0<\/a>in the United States Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of New York.<\/p>\n \u201cThis is the right decision for our community and company,\u201d said Celsius CEO\u00a0Alex Mashinsky <\/strong>in a statement.<\/p>\n Celsius first halted withdrawals<\/a> on its platform on June 12 citing \u201cextreme market conditions.\u201d The platform\u2019s native token CEL crashed 55% shortly after the news was announced.<\/p>\n Price Action:<\/strong> At press time, CEL was trading at $0.6, down 20% over the last 24 hours.
