We are delighted to announce our membership with The Linux Foundation, the nonprofit organization enabling mass innovation through open source. The Cardano Foundation has joined as a\u00a0Gold member<\/a>, becoming the only nonprofit active at this level.<\/p>\n Cardano Foundation Chief Open Source Officer Dirk Hohndel spoke yesterday at the\u00a0Open Source Summit in Austin<\/a>\u00a0in an exclusive Q&A with Linux creator Linus Torvalds.\u00a0<\/p>\n Commenting on this event, Mr Hohndel said:<\/p>\n \u201cOpen source is about communities. It’s about bringing together people from different companies, countries, and backgrounds. The Cardano Foundation is focused on driving the adoption of blockchain technology and we strongly believe that building a vibrant open source community around our technology is a key part to achieving that goal.
