Amid a $1.6 trillion (\u00a31.2 trillion) collapse in the price of <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.thetimes.co.uk\/article\/rise-of-crypto-and-bitcoin-risks-blowing-a-hole-in-russian-sanctions-gdfr09hbk\" class=\"link__RespLink-sc-1ocvixa-0 cccvCK\" rel=\"noopener\">bitcoin<\/a>, ether and thousands of other cryptocurrencies, the not-so-subtle message was clear: don\u2019t panic, we have been here before.<\/p>\n<p class=\"responsive__Paragraph-sc-1pktst5-0 fKDjKV\">The message was a bit ironic, of course \u2014 Coinbase investors are running for their lives. The company pulled off an epic <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.thetimes.co.uk\/article\/coinbases-crypto-party-enters-wild-stage-spcn92mn2\" class=\"link__RespLink-sc-1ocvixa-0 cccvCK\" rel=\"noopener\">$85 billion stock market float<\/a> last April.
