{"id":17851,"date":"2022-05-25T12:02:07","date_gmt":"2022-05-25T12:02:07","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/egrowonline.com\/?p=17851"},"modified":"2022-05-25T12:02:07","modified_gmt":"2022-05-25T12:02:07","slug":"chain4travel-lands-3-6m-in-funding-for-blockchain-platform","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/egrowonline.com\/?p=17851","title":{"rendered":"Chain4Travel lands \u00a33.6M in funding for blockchain platform"},"content":{"rendered":"<p> <br \/>\n<\/p>\n<div>\n    <!-- only when Webinar and link exists --><\/p>\n<p><a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/chain4travel.com\" title=\"Chain4Travel\" rel=\"noopener\">Chain4Travel<\/a>\u00a0has raised seed funding of \u00a33.6 million for the development of its blockchain-based travel platform, known as Camino.<\/p>\n<p>The Switzerland-based business was launched by Ralf Usbeck, who previously founded TravelTainment and Peakwork, Thomas Stirnimann, former CEO of Hotelplan, and Pablo Castillo, former CIO of Hotelplan.<\/p>\n<p>Chain4Travel wants to build a blockchain platform for B2B and B2C leisure travel products from hotel rooms and car rental to inflight food and beverage.<\/p>\n<p>The investment will go toward the launch of the blockchain as well as its first applications this year.<\/p>\n<p>All information about products and services including health and safety and updates about any restrictions will be fed into the platform and available as non-fungible tokens (NFTs).<\/p>\n<p>Going forward the blockchain will be managed by travel industry partners with Chain4Travel transferring the intellectual property and financial reserves into a foundation.<\/p>\n<div data-nosnippet=\"true\">\n<div class=\"inline-item pull-right\">\n<div class=\"nl-signup jq-Newsletter\">\n<p>\t<label class=\"control-label\">Get a dose of digital travel in your inbox each day<\/label><\/p>\n<p>Subscribe to our newsletter below<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div><\/div>\n<p>The Camino token pre-sale is planned for July\/August while an initial coin offering (ICO) is scheduled for the end of 2022.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;We are launching Chain4Travel\u00a0at the right time.
