It is routine\u00a0to find\u00a0Tesla Inc<\/strong> TSLA<\/span> CEO Elon Musk\u00a0<\/strong>in the comments section of\u00a0Dogecoin<\/strong> DOGE\/USD<\/span> co-creator Billy Markus’\u00a0<\/strong>tweet but there’s a new\u00a0entrant \u2014 who also just happens to be one of the world’s richest people.<\/p>\n

Amazon.com, Inc<\/strong> AMZN<\/span> CEO Jeff Bezos <\/strong>had words of praise for Markus\u00a0on Wednesday.

\nWhat Happened: <\/strong>Bezos responded to a tweet by Markus that touched on\u00a0party affiliations and moderates.<\/p>\n

Bezos said, \u201cSeen you refer to yourself as a sh*tposter but maybe you\u2019re mostly just a wiseposter.\u201d<\/p>\n

Why It Matters:<\/strong> Markus\u2019 post came after Musk<\/strong>\u00a0declared himself a Republican<\/a> voter on Twitter after calling\u00a0the Democrats a party of \u201cdivision and hate.\u201d<\/p>\n

Bezos also interacted with a Twitter user who suggested that the Amazon founder invite Markus and him on to his yacht along with Lauren Sanchez. <\/strong>Sanchez is said to be Bezos\u2019 girlfriend.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Bezos\u00a0began following Markus<\/a>\u00a0on Twitter earlier in the month. He only follows 83 people on the social media platform and has 4.4 million followers.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Markus, who calls himself a \u201ccomedian\u201d on Twitter has a following of 1.5 million. He follows 420 people \u2014 a number often referenced in connection with cannabis culture.<\/p>\n

Price Action:<\/strong>\u00a0On Wednesday, Amazon shares closed 7.2% lower at $2,142.25 in the regular session and dropped another 1.5% lower to $2,111 in the after-hours trading. At press time, DOGE traded 0.1% lower at $0.08, according to\u00a0data from Benzinga Pro.<\/a><\/p>\n
