The Fed has indicated it may move quicker on rate hikes to curb inflation.<\/p>\n<p>Fed policy outlook, rising Treasury yields and quarterly earnings reports have dragged markets lower in April. Tuesday\u2019s session saw a 3-year high of 2.940% for the 10-year note.<\/p>\n<p>On an International Monetary Fund panel, Powell said reducing inflation is &#8220;absolutely essential&#8221; and raising rates by half a percentage point in May is &#8220;on the table.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>This survey was conducted by Benzinga in April 2022 and included the responses of a diverse population of adults 18 or older.<\/p>\n<p>Opting into the survey was completely voluntary, with no incentives offered to potential respondents.
