The coin has a trading volume of over $1.4 billion in the past 24 hours, putting it above that of Polygon, Shiba Inu, Polkadot, Avalanche, Cardano, and Litecoin.<\/p>\n

NEAR Protocol<\/a> was designed as a cloud computing platform that aims to eliminate problems of slow transaction times on current blockchain networks. The platform is user-friendly and makes it easy for developers to build DApps and has its own consensus mechanism \u2013 called Doomslug.<\/p>\n

To date projects built on NEAR Protocol include Mintbase, an NFT minting platform, and Flux, a platform that lets developers create markets based on assets, commodities, or real-world events.<\/p>\n

NEAR Protocol\u2019s key selling point is the ability to process up to 100,000 transactions per second \u2013 compared to about 15 on the Ethereum network. The network can also achieve near-instant transaction finality with fees at virtually zero. There are many blockchain networks on the market rivaling Ethereum, but 2022 could be the year that NEAR Protocol continues to grow and solidify a position in the crypto top 20.<\/p>\n
