He says, \u201cthis video explains everything.\u201d<br \/><\/strong><\/p>\n<h2>Elon Musk Shares Dogecoin Video<\/h2>\n<p>Tesla and Spacex CEO Elon Musk shared a video about the meme cryptocurrency dogecoin (DOGE) on April 1 in reply to a tweet about bitcoin by Brett Winton, Ark Invest\u2019s director of research.<\/p>\n<p>In the tweet, Winton quoted a conversation about bitcoin mining where he seems to be having difficulty explaining to his mom on April Fools\u2019 Day that bitcoin miners are computers. Replying with a meme video titled \u201c\u00d0 is for \u00d0ogecoin\u201d on the same day, Musk wrote: \u201cJust show her this video explains everything.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-518872 size-full\" title=\"Tesla CEO Elon Musk Shares Dogecoin Video \u2014 Says It 'Explains Everything'\" src=\"https:\/\/static.news.bitcoin.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/04\/doge-video.jpg\" alt=\"Tesla CEO Elon Musk Shares Dogecoin Video \u2014 Says It 'Explains Everything'\" width=\"586\" height=\"674\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The short video features the DOGE mascot on a journey to the moon. The shiba inu on a rocket passed bitcoin and other major cryptocurrencies as the price of DOGE soared.<\/p>\n<p>Winton replied to Musk: \u201cA meme too far for her I\u2019m afraid. (On the other hand, my 5-year-old is now frantically agitating to set up a Coinbase account).\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Dogecoin co-creator Billy Markus commented on Musk\u2019s tweet, stating that the meme video is the \u201cbest cryptocurrency video in history.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Musk shared this particular video on Twitter before, including on Feb. 7 last year when he tweeted: \u201c\u00d0 is for \u00d0ogecoin! Instructional video.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The DOGE community is ecstatic that Musk tweeted about their favorite cryptocurrency again. They have long called the Tesla CEO \u201cthe Dogefather\u201d and appreciated him sending the price of dogecoin upward with his tweets.<\/p>\n<p>Dogecoin, the 12th largest cryptocurrency by market cap, is trading at $0.1431 per coin at the time of writing, based on data from Bitcoin.com Markets. However, Musk\u2019s latest DOGE tweet did not move the market much. The meme coin was hovering around $0.1420 when he tweeted.<\/p>\n<p>Musk confirmed in March that he <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/news.bitcoin.com\/elon-musk-tesla-spacex-see-significant-inflation-pressure-confirms-he-wont-sell-crypto\/\" rel=\"noopener\">owns<\/a> bitcoin, ether, and dogecoin, emphasizing that he will not sell them. The Tesla boss believes that dogecoin is the people\u2019s crypto and DOGE is the <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/news.bitcoin.com\/tesla-ceo-elon-musk-dogecoin-criticizes-bitcoin-identity-of-satoshi-nakamoto\/\" rel=\"noopener\">best<\/a> cryptocurrency for transactions. In contrast, he sees bitcoin as a store of value.
